Angelica

Angelica Panganiban was born in the Philippines. She is an Filipino American actress, comedian, television host and model. Panganiban (also known as The New Queen Of Drama) is considered by various media outlets to be one of Philippines most experienced, versatile and well-versed actors. The youngest-ever runner-up, Hale finished second in the competition. Angelica Hale suffered from double pneumonia in 2012. She was 4 at the time. Her sickness was an aggressive strain of the strep bacteria. She desperately needed urgent medical attention and was placed on ECMO life-support at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston. The kidneys of her did not heal after she developed an infection that was septic and she was diagnosed with multiple organ failure. It was then a routine of hemodialysis followed by the peritoneal dilation. After nearly 80 days in hospital, from the point of death to a long journey towards recovery, she got home, however her life forever changed. Angelica endured dialysis treatments for more than a decade and half of that time before she was able to undergo an organ transplant. It was her own mother who was the one to donate her kidney. Angelica and mom had the surgery to remove their kidneys successfully on 13 September 2013. The surgery was performed at Emory University Hospital and Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Egleston, two hospitals located across from each other. Angelica Hale's desire to become the world's most famous person has never wavered.
