Gugulethu Sofia Mbatha is known by her stage and screen names Gugu Mbatha Raw. She became popular due to her appearance in the BBC television series of science fiction called Doctor Who. Chelsea Joy Handler, born February 25, 1975 in Livingston New Jersey, is the youngest of six children. She was the youngest child in a family of six. Handler's father was a used car dealer, and her mother was a housewife. Her mother immigrated to America in the year 1958 in the form of an immigrant from Germany. After ten long years of fighting breast cancer, Handler passed away in the year 1989. Handler was educated in Reform Judaism by her father who was Jewish. Handler had a pleasant and healthy life living in a safe neighborhood. As a teenager, Handler made the move to Los Angeles to pursue her acting profession. Handler was obliged to be an actress to live. But, at aged 21, Handler decided to pursue stand-up comedy as a full-time profession as she was able to discover her storytelling skills. Handler's professional career started as part of the all-female Oxygen television cast on the reality show with a hidden camera and practical humor show Girls Behaving Unstably. The show was on the air from 2002 until 2005. The host then appeared on other TV shows such as Weekends at the D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids. Handler was a part of The Tonight Show for a period of time as a correspondent. Handler made her breakthrough in 2006 when she started host her own program on E! The Chelsea Handler Program. The Chelsea Handler Show ran for two years. Handler performed at the Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour in the United States in the following year. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend, HBO and Comedy Central have all broadcasted her stand-up show. In 2010 the MTV Video Music Awards 2010 were revealed. She was the second female host to be announced in the same category as Roseanne.
